Block visitors by country or IP address

Updated October 9, 2026

If you get unwanted traffic from particular places, such as spam, fake sign-ups or attacks, we can block it before it reaches your site.

Contact support and tell us either:

  • Which countries, IP addresses or IP ranges (in CIDR form, such as 203.0.113.0/24) to block, or
  • Which countries to allow, with everyone else blocked

We'll set this up for your site on our platform. Blocked visitors see a 403 Forbidden page.

Things to keep in mind

  • Be careful about blocking large regions. Many search engine crawlers visit from the United States, and blocking it can stop your site being indexed.
  • Payment providers, uptime monitors and other services you use may connect from other countries.
  • Visitors using a VPN can appear to be in a different country.

To block a single troublesome IP address inside WordPress, a reputable security plugin can also do it. Contact us any time if you'd like a block changed or removed.
