The Elementor editor won't load

Updated October 10, 2026

Elementor is fully supported on GUDHOST. If its editor gets stuck loading, or shows an error such as "Preview could not be loaded", the cause is usually a conflict with another plugin or with code that changes how JavaScript loads.

1. Test with Elementor's Safe Mode

Safe Mode loads the Elementor editor without your other plugins and your theme, so you can see whether one of them is the problem.

  1. In your WordPress dashboard, go to Elementor → Tools.
  2. On the General tab, set Safe Mode to Enable and click Save Changes.
  3. Open the page in the Elementor editor again.

If the editor now loads, another plugin or your theme is conflicting with Elementor. Turn Safe Mode off, then deactivate your other plugins one at a time (start with the most recently added or updated) and retry the editor each time until you find the one causing it. Update or replace that plugin, or ask its author for help.

Remember to turn Safe Mode off when you're done.

2. Still not loading?

If the editor fails even in Safe Mode, contact support and tell us which page you're trying to edit. Some of our speed optimisations change how JavaScript files load, which can stop the Elementor preview from loading. We'll check and adjust them for your site.

Also make sure you're using an up-to-date browser with no ad-blocking or script-blocking extensions active on your own site.
